Our long journey to Portugal

Our journey began in 2017 in the Pacific Ocean. Originally from the EmiliaRomagna and Lombardy region in Italy, our family moved to the small island of Palau - Micronesia, where we opened our first ice cream shop, “L'Amarena”.

The island had never experienced authentic Italian ice cream before, and we quickly became a hit with locals and tourists alike, sharing our little piece of Italy with the people of Palau.

Fast forward to 2023, we felt it was time to make a change and share our passion for Italian food with a new community. After considering many places in all corners of the world, Portugal stood out to us as a shining light in Europe. And what better place to start our Portuguese journey than Lisbon?

With this, Pausa Audaz was born. The first restaurant of its kind in the city, our approach is to serve high-quality, artisanal Italian food in a casual, welcoming atmosphere. Inspired by our traditional family recipes, our menu of fresh pasta and vibrant sauces changes daily, allowing you to choose your favorite combination and get involved in creating your dish.

Now, Pausa Audaz has become an EPOCA-Osteria Italiana.

Everything we serve at EPOCA is made fresh, every day, using only the highest quality ingredients. Our kitchen is completely open, and we invite you to see how our pasta is made by hand and prepared only when requested, delivering the most delicious flavors possible - a true testament to time, tradition and love for the craft.
